A site-specific installation by Chrysanne Stathacos and Andrew Zealley, for NUIT BLANCHE, dusk to dawn, September 30 to October 1, 2006. Location: Philosopher's Walk, Toronto.

Visitors are invited to attach printed "wishes," from The Wish Machine Project, available on-site, to the branches and trunk of a maple tree - which emanates a sound score. This sound/wishing tree becomes a meditative focus as visitors leave their symbolic messages. The score is fully realized when accompanied by sounds intrinsic to the area: footsteps and murmurings of passers-by, traffic in the distance, the hum of the city and the still of the night.
